**Christmas Menu T &C s**

The Menu

Our Christmas Menu is available 1st – 24th December from Monday to Friday lunchtimes and evenings & must be ordered by the whole table. For parties of more than 6, we require menu choices to be placed prior to the reservation. We are closed on Christmas Day but open for Boxing Day. Our ever popular Du Jour set menu will return from the 27th of December.

Children

We understand Christmas is a time for families & friends of all ages to get –together & well- behaved children are absolutely welcome. However please be aware of the limitations of a Medieval building ie : no baby -changing facilities & a very steep staircase. Please also note there isn’t a separate children’s menu as such, but we can offer half portions of our menus dishes for children under 12 if requested. Unfortunately high chairs are not provided in the evenings.

Allergens & dietary requirements

If a member of your party has any dietary requirements, please don’t hesitate to inform us at the earliest opportunity. All our dishes are prepared individually to order & Chef is able to cater for any allergens or special requests as long as he knows in advance!

Deposits & party bookings

We kindly request a deposit of £10 per person to secure reservations which is then deducted from the final bill on the day & Boxing Day & New Year’s Eve we require a 50% deposit. For groups or parties over 6 guests, please contact a member of the management team who will be delighted to discuss menus, drinks receptions, seating options & party packages. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made within 72 hours of the reservation date. We look forward to welcoming you!

Hampshire Fare

From water to waiter in 48 hours – 25 Plates of Hampshire Food Festival

Twenty-five chefs have created dishes from some of the very best local produce to celebrate Hampshire Fare’s 25th anniversary.

Throughout July our very own Chef Brown will be showcasing an incredible Chalk Stream Trout Salad, starter dish, that is brimming with seasonal, fresh flavours.

Did you know?

Chalk Farm is located near Romsey next to the River Test. The trout is some of the tastiest, richest and leanest in the UK as a result of their unique natural habitat. Drawn from sustainable farms on the Rivers Itchen and Test, these spring-fed chalk streams with crystal clear water, constant water flows and excellent light and vegetation create havens for the fish. These beautiful chalk streams give the fish a distinct, sensational taste whether smoked or fresh.

The Hampshire Food Festival has grown from a weekend event to a month-long line up of over 75 events.

The Olive Magazine

Thank you to the lovely Charlotte from Olive Magazine for featuring the Chesil Rectory in an online article about her recent trip to the city; including an overnight stay at the fabulous boutique B&B, Hannah’s.

“Both inside and out, The Chesil Rectory looks like it belongs in Godric’s Hollow… The Chesil Rectory is our favourite place for dinner in Winchester because of the romantic, candle-lit atmosphere (see how many vintage chandeliers you can count) and the delicate style of cooking.” – Click here to read the full article.
