The Team Head chef Robert Quehan's passion for fine food developed during his time at the Dorchester Hotel, the Ivy restaurant and Belair House. Rob's slant to French cooking was influenced by Zac Elhandou at Belair House where he was introduced to the styles of Zac's mentors, Pierre Koffman and Alain Ducasse. In his first year as Head Chef his food was awarded a 6 rating by the Which? Good Food Guide and attributed to the restaurant being awarded 2 AA Rosettes. Rob is married to Julia and has two daughters Olivia & Sophie. Fish plays a large part in his life because when he is not in the kitchen creating seafood wonders he is a keen fisherman out on the beach.

Our front of house is managed by Vincent Rochard. Originally from Le Croisic in Southern Brittany, Vincent and his wife Helen live locally with their two daughters Lily Belle and Isla Mae. He has brought a wealth of experience to the Chesil Rectory having worked in some fine establishments in the UK over the past 10 years. His passion for good food and wine is infectious and is reflected in his enthusiasm to provide a first class service to our customers.
